Here We Are

Pat DuFresne
I'd like to welcome you to my blog. Beaver Creek Service Center has been in business in the Rimrock area since April 1989. We recently expanded our automotive and light truck service to include the sales of all non NFA types of firearms, ammunition and related supplies. We hold a Type 07 FFL which allows us to manufacture firearms and ammunition as well as sell firearms and do firearms transfers. We do not as yet have an SOT, so we are not handling class III NFA weapons.

First and foremost we would like to promote firearm safety. It is imperative as a firearm owner to be responsible with your firearm(s) at all times. Proper firearm handling and storage is an absolute must. Not only will this simple task help reduce the number of accidental injuries or death, it helps to keep us firearm owners in a positive light. Everytime a preventable incident occurs, it puts the rest of us in a negative light.

ALWAYS:

  1. Treat every gun as if it's loaded,
  2. Never point a firearm at anything you do not intend on destroying,
  3. Know your target and beyond,
  4. Keep your finger OFF THE TRIGGER until you are ready to shoot.

Please remember these simple rules.

Some helpful suggestions; practice often, this includes dry fire practice that you can do in your home (Don't forget rule #1). This can really help you become familiar with you firearm and how it functions. I highly recommend NOT HAVING loaded ammunition in the same room you are dry fire practicing in.
Practice at the range, remember safe firearm handling techniques.
Safe firearm storage. Only you can determine what will work best for your situation. Young people are curious, I was, My kids were. Please keep this in mind. We trained with our kids at an early age and they knew that firearms are dangerous. That's what we did, I am in no way recommending you do the same, that's up to you. You as a firearm owner are responsible for safe keeping of our firearm.
Keep you firearm clean and in good working order. It's a machine not unlike your car and needs proper care and maintenance. It does not thrive on neglect.

Shooting can be a great way for a family to spend time together, it's a bunch of fun! Have fun , keep safe and pick up your trash when your done. And if your needing a firearm or ammunition, please stop by or call us. Thanks You, Pat DuFresne
