1982 Honda XL500R w/ 765 miles!

1982 Honda XL 500R single cylinder 4 valve "Thumper". These bikes have an amazing amount of torque! This one only has 765 documented original miles on it. I am the second owner and have seldom rode this beast in the last few years I have owned it. It is ALL ORIGINAL except oil & fuel. Even the tires are original! It has some minor wear and tear and a dent in the fuel tank  I put in it bringing it home as it fell over in the pickup bed. Bike starts right up, pulled out of storage and it started on the second kick. If your not familiar with these, there is a "starting ritual" that needs to be followed, any deviation will result in not stating and frustration. Once easily mastered, she always starts right up. All the lights and turn signals work properly as does the compression releases. Rear plastic fender has some "crazing" and I photographed it as best I could. The bike is not detailed as I wanted to present it as it is. It could also use a new battery, but that does not affect starting in any way as there is no electric starter. I would also recommend new tires as these tires are now 33 years old! It really is a fine surviving example of these fantastic motorcycles from Honda. I have a clear Arizona title in hand.
